[SUGGESTION] Encased Essentia Tubes

Currently theres no good way to pass essentia tubes through walls without leaving ugly gaps like this:

Its REALLY annoying and its quite hard to plan around when your trying to make a good looking thaumcraft base so i suggest a new tube type that will hopefully fix this problem!

The encased essentia tube, works exactly like a normal tube expect its model is a full block:

Simple but it does the job! and i personally think it would be a wonderful quality of life addition :D

Simple texture i made for the mockup:

add all/most of thaumcraft's and thaumic aug's blocks to be multipart/microblock compatible aswell

I just checked and it might actually be easy? Definite coremod territory, but it looks like all the TC things that use tubes call a single function to check for the adjacent tube. I still think I won't do that and will just add the block because it seems overkill for this scenario, but it's interesting to think about at least.

Only thing I'm not sure about is whether having the appearance being a single block for all sides is ok. I can see how having per-side blocks could be flexible, but I also don't think having it cost 1 block per side instead of 1 block per tube is fair.

Since its just a aesthetic thing id say having it not consume the block when you set a side's look to be fair, only concern i can think of is that might allow people to build with encased essentia tubes then use them to fake a rare block (ie: building a house out of encased essentia tubes then making them all appear like diamond blocks with the use of only one diamond block) but i think that could be fixed by overlaying a essentia tube connection point texture onto the block above the applied facade texture (like what i added to the arcane stone texture in the mockup image)

This was on the roadmap but got delayed due to time - in fact, it was going to be like the tube facades or camouflaged blocks from other mods in that they will be able to look like (almost) any block. I still plan on doing this eventually.

Good to hear you plan to do something like this eventually since like i said in the suggestion itself its been something thats bugged me for a long long time, and them being camouflaged like other blocks sounds amazing since it just makes them easier to fit into more builds.

Actually, now that I think about it there is another option: I could try to make the glass tubes multipart compatible, so people can make / use their own facades. I'm not sure which option is better (or if people even use multipart stuff anymore).

That could work the only problem is you would also have to add all/most of thaumcraft's and thaumic aug's blocks to be multipart/microblock compatible aswell since by default i don't think they are which would sort of defeats the purpose.
