In previous versions of the core mod there were blocks that stabilized nodes and held them in fixed locations.

I propose a machine that it's only purpose is to detect a rift and keep it in the same location it detects it regardless of the rift growing or shrinking. It should hold the rift (or what is the central block of the rift) precisely 7 blocks above itself (If the rift shifts out of the bounding area, maybe have it get dragged back)

To be balanced, I think all it should do is hold the rift in place with no protections for over draining, and possibly a charged impetus penalty where the rift outputs energy at the rate of one tier smaller, i.e. if by itself it'd register as a 12 on the monitor, if anchored the monitor would register it as an 11.
