when you use hyperion amplifier, once it launch, if you still press the RMB, the cannon can shoot normal ray also.

Hi, were you testing in creative mode? Creative mode turns off impetus consumption checks and prevents the cannon from being interrupted by running out of impetus. I was able to replicate this in creative mode, but unable to in survival mode.
