Does it show up in NEI, and can you get it in creative mode? On my end its still craftable and shows up in the thaumonomicon.
Be sure you have finished the essentia monitoring research.

ooh, didnt see it, because my texture pack uses a similar texture for the torch. also expected it to be smaller. thx a lot.
