Have you considered adding some kind of custom recipe support - crafttweaker or config?

I was talking about recipes for the campfires, i cant seem to find them in your asset folder.

All recipes are in the assets, you can change them all there :)

Ah sorry I misunderstood you, those recipes aren't customizable yet, but I plan to add something for that to the assets as well. Probably somewhere during the summer when I have more time to work on things.

Doing the asset thing would either mean to recompile your mod with the desired changes or add an asset folder with the specific directory and filename inside the mc instance, right?

Why would that be necessary? It wouldn't be any different from other standard recipe assets, I would just register a custom recipe factory to parse them (I think, it has been a while since I looked into it).

wellthe common way to add recipes usually is crafttweaker, but im not complaining about other ways :)
