Opening Portal in alternate dimension sends you back to overworld

Opened portal in Aromacraft mining world, went through and spawned in midair (playing Project Ozone skyblock) reletive to my position in the mining world. Tested three times, same problem.

This is intended. Does the same thing as a nether portal.
