If we ever get around to add flying mounts (scarabs/dragonflies), some sort of turret-like, stationary creature sitting on the ceiling shooting projectiles at players who fly to close. Getting hit dismounts the player, making them fall to their (likely) death.
The mob could possibly be some plant/creature hybrid
