[Suggestion] Progression within progression by following "the way" and Ki/concentration emblem

What I'm suggesting is having a config that changes the abilities to be less instant after doing their quests. At first, you'll get a version of the power with lesser potency. then by doing the skill/requirement for the skill more times as a form of "training" will progress them further.

Stuff like breaking stone etc. at first you'd mine at mining level of stone, but you'd break slower than a pick at around 50% speed. breaking more stones would improve the speed further until it's slightly better than stone at like 125% (so 3 bonus levels of increasing speed till it gets maxed and you get a mastery of that teaching).
if theres other skills that improve mining speed they'd retain that speed but gain the breaking power, then that one would have further mini-quests to perfect the speed up higher.

For the sprinting it'd be like, the initial 200 blocks would get the skill at say 10% speed. Then it could have stuff like running for 200 blocks again would put it up to 20%, then 30% then 40%.

Essentially this would turn it into more of a way of playing and an RPG of sorts with longer progression in mind for packs and such.

Another thing would be having the emblem in the middle of the progression bar that shows up become a gauge for say "Ki energy" aswell which goes from full white with black icon then bottoms out to green then to yellow then red which restores with perhaps "meditation" at a relatively quicker rate by shifting on certain types of blocks that a player could specify (default to wool and woods?) or gradually over time which fuels the stronger skills later down the tree. (only gotten to dodging skelly arrows yet, so dunno what else there is but my melee damage is already quite insane)

It's a really cool mod anyways, but just suggesting some ways to extend progression and RPGify it.
