Maybe the possibility to attract items like a magnet. I'm not too sure how you'd go in applying this relative to the monk theme. but maybe something to do with obviously gravity and maybe redefining it. or something with the sun and the moon.

you could make it real balanced by only a three block radius or something like that. It would just go hand in hand with, well.. hand mining!!
