Biome sounds from ambience mods do not work correctly in The Twilight Forest Dimension

Dynamic Surroundings version: 4.0.4.1
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new world with Twilight Forest and an ambience mod such as Dynamic Surroundings installed
- Make a portal to the twilight forest and enter
- Listen to the ambience and you will find that it is almost non existent save for a few cave sounds.
What I expected to happen:
The ambience added by Dynamic Surroundings would work correctly like it does in the overworld.
What happened instead:
Dynamic Surroundings seems to think I'm in a cave and plays cave sounds instead of forest sounds or surface ambience. According to the dev of Dynamic Surroundings it could be due to the sea level in the twilight forest being the same as the Overworld which causes ambience mods to think that I'm underground instead of on the surface.
