[GUI Followers] Follower list remains visible when F1 is pressed

Environment: Singleplayer and Multiplayer

Mod name: GUI Followers
Mod version: 3.8

When you have pets following you and the GUI list is shown it remains on screen when pressing F1 to disable HUDs/overlays.
