Daily Quests crashes when "Everything is Copper" mod is present

Description
When I create a new world or join an existing one, the game immediately crashes.

It appears Daily Quests is trying to summon a Copper Minecart entity to check if it is an animal (which it isn't), but doing so results in a SynchedEntityData crash.
See also JDKDigital/everythingcopper#18, which is the same crash but from trying to place down a copper minecart.
