Transcendent Tridents can't place water bucket when holding trident in off hand

Environment: Singleplayer & Multiplayer

Description
When trying to place a water bucket, the water disappears a split second after placing it, while holding a trident in my offhand, this doesn't happen if it's not in my offhand
the water disappears but if I open my inventory and close it again the water returns to the bucket.
