Enchantment Level Cap Indicator doesn't show in regular inventory

Description
I installed this mod just today and was excited to see it, but I believe it's not working properly. The star/symbol only appears in the Enchanting Table, not in the Inventory. Is there any way to fix this?
For additional info, I have Just Enough Items and Enchantment Descriptions installed.
No, there were other mods, including VMinus. It turns out that VMinus was causing a lot of trouble in other regards, and as soon as I uninstalled it the issue disappeared. Sorry for not getting back about it

Having same issue on fabric 1.21.5 with only this mod and fabric API installed.
