[Suggestion] Synchronize doors actions and elevator movements. And little more.

I mean this behavior currently we have: doors opens slightly earlier than elevator fully arrives and elevator starts not after doors fully closed (just independently).
In addition may create door holding redstone signal not ethernal. It can be only few seconds long (10 is completely enough) and will close elevator's doors when it idle. Now doors opens by elevator arrival, i offer one more trigger, by Elevator Controller call pressing, if he currently on this floor (in floor-mounted mode, simply - it's a call button). For situation of player inside staying lift pressing current floor button on the grid will open doors too.

If i'm not so picky, may smooth start will be better, not only stopping? Thanks for listening.

I use MalisisDoors as elevator sliding doors, it can be setted to properly moving speed for this situations. For example 15 ticks, or 0,75 seconds.

I will definitely consider smoothing the start of the elevator a bit more.

for the timing thing though, currently it is a very simple check done of whether the elevator is in a specific spot, then it changes the block, I can look into having delays, but I am not sure how easy it will be to add that without causing performance hits.

Upd: Smooth start will be important only with high movement speed, so it's low priority.
(Just almost insensibly when speed is ~0.1)

I am not sure whether I have the time to get around to this, have you tried seeing if integrated tunnels energy detector thingies can provide this functionality?
