The Resistance potion effect is being applied to the player prematurely, before the item consumption/usage animation completes.I don't think that's reasonable
Steps to reproduce
Wear slime-helmet of skeleton,then add slurping modifier to the helmet ，Pour the milk in it，after these，press the key for short periods of time
then you could see that the milk is not consumed，but player has resistance potion
