Go to chest, have an inventory connector touching it, attach a terminal.
Put in chest: Sticks, Logs, Planks, 64 of each.
Using the terminal, take out ALL the sticks, take out HALF the logs or planks, put the logs or planks back, then put the sticks back.
You will have 32 logs, 32 logs, 64 planks, 64 sticks, taking up 4 spaces of inventory instead of the normal 3.

With 10 enchanting books and a stack of chests, you can repeat this process to make 11 different individual stacks of chests. This is either a bug, or an oversight. Shouldn't the items going into a chest at least TRY to stack instead of just dumping into the first empty slot they see? I feel like I'll have to periodically take everything out and put it back in again to make sure the chests are properly sorted and there won't be wasted slots like that.

The pics don't have the example I described, but this is how I discovered it, when messing around with tomes in storage. I can't imagine how many potentially wasted slots there will be later on down the line when I have an entire monster of a chest room...
