When viewing the items within the chest it is obvious that they are there.

But when viewing the items inside the storage terminal it appears empty.

I along with other players are having this issue too on my 1.20.6 Fabric server using toms_storage_fabric-1.20.6-1.6.16. This bug happens when we add too many items to the storage network. Interestingly, this bug isn't produced by having too many items in general, as I've filled storage volumes with millions of one or two items, but rather we can reproduce this bug when too many unique items are placed into the network. In my case, I have around 300-400k items in my volume, many (not all) unique.

This bug has been very painful past late-game progression and can be produced in very practical late-game gameplay.

We theorize the issue may stem from the logic that the mod uses to intake items into the network via terminal. When inserting item x, the storage volume will find an empty slot to fill with item x, rather than filling pre-existing instances of item x that have not yet been filled up to 64, and then finding a new slot to place what may remain. Perhaps the former implementation may result in some reading issue when the interface is opened that errors out and results in no items being displayed.

When the storage volume enters this bugged state, no terminals connected to an inventory connector in any position will fix the bug. Placing in items that already exist into the system (in the gif, golden carrots) will have them vanish into the volume and become inaccessible. Placing in unique items (unique item ids or items with unique NBT data) will display them on the interface until the interface is closed.
