Tom's Simple Storage Mod 1.21-2.1.3

I have an inventory cable connector, cables connected to inventory connector and crafting terminal, it's visible in the system and works. That's not the problem.
I've created an item filter and changed it to Allow matching 'coal coke', I've tried both match components and do not match and put in on a chest using the inventory configurator but it seems when ever I deposit into the system via the crafting terminal, items that aren't 'coal coke' are being sent to this chest.

Am I wrong in assuming Allow matching would function like a whitelist?

Nevermind, I figured it out. Don't filter the chest, filter the inventory cable connector attached to it, if anyone is wondering.
