i dont get why tems are counted twice in my network.

i built this simple system to access drawers inventories:

am i missing something?

im playing fabric 1.21.1
Fabric API v0.116.4
Toms Storage v2.2.1
Storage Drawers v13.8.9

i think the inventory connector sees the drawer controller as an inventory, so it extend his range to the adjacent blocks and process the oak drawer content once again

Yesy the inventory connector works like the drawer controller, you don't need both.
