So I'm playing on the Hypothermia pack, which is nothing but one big snow biome, and so I rushed to get the rain collector for clean water so I don't have to deal with the filters only to find out that when it snows it doesn't get collected and turned to water.... Very frustrating in a pack like this.

I thought about it for a while and figured out that there's a way this item can still be used if a few features were added to it. Have the rain collector, or maybe some new 'machine' to do all of this, collect snow up to the halfway point then have the machine require a heating source (torch, fire, lava, etc.) to melt it into clean, drinkable water.
