In Pollution of the Realms mod there is acid rain when air is polluted and rain collectors should then collect dirty water instead of clean.

I had a look and it appears they don't have a public api or their source available. They also seem to integrate compatibility for most mods on their side, so I would say it's best to contact them about this.
