I think the fans would be greatly improved with the following additions:

• The fan block should be movable. Using detectors and movable fans there are ways to create quite fun means of transportation
• There should be a pulling fan variant
• Multiple fans should be able to stack their effects a bit. If there are three fans in series, the last fan should push/pull with threefold the power
