I'm trying to set up a mob farm with mob grinding utils, but the part of filtering the armors/weapons tends to be hard in 1.16 because of lack of options.

So, it would be cool to have like upgrades, and one upgrade would be a bigger filter because right now, I'm using the absorption hopper connected directly to the ultimate trash can and is working perfectly because it doesn't care about enchantability or how broken is the armor. But 9 slots is not enough for all the garbage armors the mobs drop. So, I suppose I'll need to hook a pipe from pipez and see if I can filter from the drawer controller... if I could put a bigger filter to the trash can would be a much better solution

PS: Is really easy with the pipez pipes https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/pipez, since seems that their filter is unlimited, but I still prefer the interface of trash cans since is not a list, which pipez uses, and takes a lot of space

My first thoughts:

• I don't like the idea of having upgrades
• I'm not going to add upgrades just for a bigger filter
• I think 9 slots for filtering on the trash can is sufficient, if you need more, you can create a more complex sorting solution using other mods
• What would the UI even look like for more than 9 slots?

Probably not something I'm going to add as I feel 9 slots are sufficient. Feel free to expand on the suggestion and try to convince me 🙂

I don't have much time to work on mods currently, so I'll leave it here to decide on when I work on mods again.

Then don't worry, there are more important things in life to focus on. I thought it could be a nice improvement to add more features to the mod (but it is true that adds complexity :P). But I couldn't think of other upgrades to make upgrades more worthy.

The UI that I liked it is the idea that they had in enderio https://i.imgur.com/ycVXbT3.png. Basically like a chest with a couple buttons. In pipez is like this https://i.imgur.com/ThD0ou1.png, https://i.imgur.com/N5T9HWR.png which is a nice solution, but it makes it too long to review all items in the filter.

But yeah, feel free to close this issue and take care, that you already have enough mods and probably takes too much time to update them between versions, and adding a big filter is not that big of a problem, better to enjoy life :D.

The old trash can system allowed you to make filters that you could add to the slots and said filters would allow you to have more. With 9 filters in 9 slots, that was giving you 81 different items you could filter. With your current system, I would need to make 9 trash cans.

Maybe something like Extra Utilities 2 used to have would be nice to this mod, instead of 9 slots, have 1 slot and a new item with 9 or 9*3 slots available, and make those recursive, being able to have filters inside filters.
