Using travelers v9.1.29 and spectrum v1.8.4.

Nothing I can do, they have to update compat to match latest version for fabric or you have to use older version of Traveler's Backpack - 1.20.1-9.1.18

Heads up: We updated the api in Spectrum's dev builds, which are up for release shortly. So if you hear about any crashes you can let your players know. ✅

That said it is slightly disheartening having taken the time to add dedicated compat, only to have that optional compat break the game for players after a while. 😅

I know it is a nuisance, but it would be nice to make such breaking changes only between MC versions, or at least add a backwards compatible, deprecated variant in the meantime.
