I am using Forge 47.3.0 on Minecraft version 1.20.1
Forge 1.20.1-47.3.0

The bug is as follows:
I updated from Traveller's backpack verison 1.20.1-9.1.16 to version 1.20.1-9.1.22
I had a gold backpack with water and milk in the tanks.
My original hose didn't work, so I cheated another in using JEI (version 15.20.0.106)
Pressing the key to "Toggle Hose Tank" caused me to crash and unable to rejoin singleplayer (crashlog attached)
I used NBT Editor to remove the hose, tank upgrade, and move the backpack into my inventory (off my back, but it never touched Curios's Slot: Back fyi)
After NBT edits and relaunching game, I can join back.

Supposed steps to reproduce:

  1. Fill tanks of fluid in backpack version 1.20.1-9.1.16 (Milk possibly required)
  2. Update to version 1.20.1-9.1.22
  3. Get hose from /give
  4. Switch tanks with "Toggle Hose Tank" key while holding hose
  5. Invalid playerdata

The expected behavior:
I expected the hose to not crash me when I switched between water to milk tanks.

Extra Information:
I have other mods including Embeddium. This might be problematic in diagnosing, so I will provide full mod-list upon request.
The error is initially a "java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index 0 out of bounds for length 0" ERROR.
Milk contained in the backpack might be problematic, as it is an eccentric fluid. This is only on my radar due to net.minecraft.client.renderer in the crashlog, so take it with a grain of salt.

Milk has been removed from the mod, so yeah its probably issue with milk in tanks, I suggest removing milk before updating
