Backpack furnace does not smelt

  1. ALWAYS PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT MODLOADER (Fabric / Forge) AND MOD VERSION (For Example 1.19.2-8.2.10)
    Forge - 1.20.1 - 9.1.36

  2. Describe the bug
    Furnace upgrade in backpack doesn't smelt. when fuel is added/upgrade is disabled and enabled, fuel is consumed, but no smelting takes place

  3. Write steps to reproduce the bug
    unsure. perhaps something to do with curios/corpse mod?

  4. What is expected behavior
    Furnace furnaces all over the place
