Equipped backpack will not drop upon death by creeper explosion

Describe the bug
I was killed by a creeper with a backpack equipped but it did not drop upon my death. When I am killed by any other mob I am able to find my backpack exactly where I died.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Equip a backpack and have a creeper explode near you to kill you
Expected behavior
Expected to be able to return to my place of death and find my backpack

- Mod version: 1.19.2
- Mod Loader: Fabric
