i want suggest tables in your backpack (no furnace), is great to have crafting table, but if we need to make some maps, or send items to a ender chest in a easy way...
Describe the solution you'd like
Actually we have crafting table, that takes up 9 brown space, and a 1 exit space, if I want put a cartography table, and somes tables (...) that will fill all the space.
So if left could appear some buttons:
- you can click chest button to appear 9 space interface to store 9 items,
- you can touch "gear chest" button to appear 6 space to store gears and 3 space to store torchs and arrows
- you can click crafting table button to appear 9+1 space interface,
- you can touch a cartography table button to remplace other 2+1 space interface,
- you can click a smithing table button to remplace other 2+1/3+1 space interface,
- you can press a turntable button to apparear 1 space to play a disc (and maybe some buttons to pause, play or rewind),
- you can touch a ender chest button to remplace other 1 space interface (you can put items to the ender chest but can't see or take some item, only can see how much free space have)
Describe alternatives you've considered
Well, every table upgrade can make using a leather upgrade and a table you want to use, after, use this upgrade and your backpack.
When you craft a traveler backpack, you start with a gear chest button and a crafting table button, you only have 1 table upgrade but you can upgrade tier to have 1 table upgrade more:
Leather tier: 3 (1 more)
Iron tier: 4 (2 more)
Gold tier: 5 (3 more)
Diamond tier: 6 (4 more)
Netherite tier: 7 (5 more)
Note: you can't have 2 or more chests buttons in the same backpack (to be more balanced I think)
Additional context
Netherite backpack will lost 5 space items, if a update is aviable, they will be in a chest button.
In gear chest button you will have 6 space (4 more) and you can store a lot of arrows (imagine a bag where you can store to 512 arrows or torchs and can be compatible with your backpack).
A few more ideas for other tables:
The grinder can be a good/balanced table easy to understand,
There are some tables that have a wide interface (stonecutter and loom), idk if this can be viable,
The anvil would have the same function except for being able to rename for interface reasons, it can also be broken like the original, so it could be replaced by another patch,
Regarding furnaces, such as campfires and alchemy, many comment that it is more powerful, it can also be more complicated by ticks, I want to think of an easy but balanced way to capture it.
More ideas for more tables:
The furnace is very useful that you would have many more, a leather upgrade with a furnace can add a module,
If you want a second module you need a iron upgrade wih a same furnace,
If you want a third module you need a gold upgrade with a same furnace,
There were several ways to nerf this implementation, from slowing down the furnace to reducing the experience received, I think no experience it won't affect versatility but it won't be as abusive
The brewing Stand it's more easy to understand about upgrades...
The composter with a "hopper" of 64 items, you want drop seeds to have powder
I'm sorry but I accidentally closed this thread, now it's open
Now, I thought about if I put this here or in other numbrer...
With the new file, could be fine put all table buttons in the right, and change "bad table pictures" with "square interface"
Other big change, the gear button could have some options:
0 files, so 0 spaces to gear
1 file with 6 spaces to gear
2 files with 12 spaces to gear
3 files with 18 spaces to gear
So, you can change weapons, arrows or tourches easy (controlling how much you need) as long as these spaces are empty to avoid errors or move them elsewhere.
