Client crash on shift-place blocks

Minecraft: 1.20.1
Modloader: Forge 47.2.0
Mod Version: 1.20.1-9.1.12
World Type: Multiplayer
Hard client crash when trying to place a block while crouching - haven't tested every type of block but we did try a fair assortment. Did see previous issue on this topic but we are on newest mod version and thus cannot upgrade.
