It appears that titles fail to render completely if a waypoint from Xaero's Minimap is being rendered. Without any waypoints visible, everything works as expected. As soon as a waypoint is rendered, the biome/dimension title disappears. If in-world waypoint rendering is disabled, the titles display correctly regardless of a waypoint's presence.

I'm unsure if it's a bug on this mod's side or xaero's, but as this's the mod affected by it: I'm reporting it here. Let me know if it fits elsewhere or I should provide more info (lack of an issue template means I don't know what's expected)
