When I start playing I no longer see the waves in the water and leaves falling.

Tropicraft isnt dependant on weather mod anymore, which is where the waves were from. You can download weather2 from http://coros.us/mods/weather2 . But weather2 doesnt have the waves anymore, they were too experimental and ate fps too much.
