Direwolf20 1.20 Drink Maker Bug

I am playing the FTB Presents Direwolf20 1.20 pack, specifically Version 1.12.1. It contains Tropicraft and I'm not sure how to check which version (sorry, I'm not quite tech literate enough for Github). I've made the drink mixer and placed it. Pina Colada works fine as does Coconut Water and Black Coffee. The mod does not seem to work with the JEI mod to show recipes for any of the drinks. I've followed several wikis and have been unable to make Orangeade, Lemonade, Cocktail, Mai Tai, Caipirinha or Limeade. Sugar has not paired with any of the fruits, sugar cane cannot be used on the drink machine at all. I've tried mixing each fruit with water, milk or other fruits. Either the mod is not interacting correctly with Direwolf20 1.20 or there's some ingredient I can't figure out to make the rest of the recipes.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Make a drink mixer.
- Load it with any tropicraft fruit and sugar.
- Attempt to add the bamboo mug.
- Nothing happens.
Expected behavior:
I thought I would be able to make the "ades" by using a fruit and sugar or sugar cane or a water bucket.
Versions
- Tropicraft Version [I'm not sure how to find this out]
- FTB Presents Direwolf20 1.20 [1.12.1]
- Minecraft Version [1.20.4]
Additional context
I'm not using Forge, I'm using the FTB App and I'm not sure how to find the Forge or Tropicraft versions.
I was intending to try Tropicraft on that pack soon. Since I imported the pack to PrismLauncher, I can check the versions:
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Neoforge 47.1.84
- Tropicraft 9.6.3
I haven't tried reproducing the problem yet, I was just passing by while I was searching for tropicraft documentation on the web and noticed that there's this issue.
I could also export a text file of all the mod versions from PrismLauncher, if that helps.
It seems a bit odd that OP is using Minecraft 1.20.4 since the pack seems to request 1.20.1 (I think some mods are not compatible with higher versions yet).
I'll admit, my knowledge of modding and versions and such is not great. I am just using the mods that Direwolf came with. It may actually be a mistake in the modpack or it's possible Tropicraft updated ahead or behind other mods. I've played several of the Direwolf packs over the years and sometimes a mod or two don't quite work because there's just so many mods and they interact strangely sometimes.
I haven't been playing recently, I should check to see if the pack has updated since last time I played and maybe the issue will have been fixed on the backend. I'll update when I do.
I just tried and was able to make an orangeade by using an an orange, sugar, a bucket of water (normal, not tropical) on the drink maker in that order and then placing the bamboo mug. It gave me a very brief speed II effect.
Pina Colada also worked with just pineapple and coconut chunks.
Placing a grapefruit, sugar, waterbucket in the drink maker and then trying to place the bamboo mug does nothing and in order to free the slots I have to mine the drink maker, which doesn't drop the ingredients (not sure about the bucket, but the grapefruit and sugar were definitely gone).
Oh try getting the things back out when you have an empty hand. I had that issue too until I figured that part out.
You can open the game to main menu to find your forge version. If you go to Mod Options you can find the tropicraft version there.
