Note that this is a client-only mod. It should not crash a sever if present, but there is no practical reason to include in the mods for a dedicated server.

The mod SHOULD be required SERVER-SIDE so that players can't just uninstall if it's added specifically to a modpack.

That isn't possible due to how rendering works in Minecraft. If the mod was only on the server there would be no way for it to work as the client can always render whatever they want.
