Bridging like in bedrock as a toggle

My suggestion: Add a toggle that allows bridging like in bedrock.
How is it different from Java? In Java, if you're building a bridge in the air you have to sneak and try not to fall of while carefully clicking on the face of the block.
In Bedrock it is possible to just click on the air in front of a block and it will place the block there if you're not having any other block in focus. You can also hold right-click while aiming at the air in front of the bridge and you will only append to that bridge and don't have to worry about placing blocks in front of you on accident.
This video visualizes it a bit: https://youtu.be/xAfQmcVNz_0?t=23 (Starting at second 23)
I know that this is already possible by combining fast block placement and flexible placement, however this comes with drawbacks: You might not want to use fast block placement (For example in multiplayer it can cause problems like ghost blocks) and if you don't use fast block placement you need to aim at the exact spot which can be a bit tricky. I think a toggle like "bedrock-like bridging" or something would be more intuitive to use and can be more easily integrated into a normal playstyle.
I think it's a bad idea: this feature exists in Minecraft Bedrock only because bridging in the same way as in Java would be outstandingly complicated. Frankly, I'm even surprised this feature even exists on Minecraft Bedrock for PC because it gives an unfair advantage. (I've found some gameplays on YouTube, it's really unfair)
Adding this to Java would only add the "Unfair" part of the tweak, and I wouldn't be surprised if people would start calling it hacks (it does the same thing as a "Scaffold" hack on a hacked client)
Tweakeroo really works as a hacked client for me as I didn't use these cheaty features much because of server lag
some of cheaty features
Fake Shifting
Fast Block Placement

But it's already possible with fast block placement + flexible placement. That way it's even more hacky than like in bedrock with normal placement speed. This would just make it more convenient to use. A lot of features, like free cam, are already super hacky. I don't think bridging like this would be very high up on the list.
