The Fiery Cooking Pot indeed appears differently when held compared to its appearance in the inventory. It’s distinct from a regular Cooking Pot.

They are the same size when installed, but they look different when viewed in your inventory or held in your hand.
The flaming pot will look bigger in first person and inventory, and smaller in third person when holding two cooking pots.
The reason why you can't see the player below is because of the invisibility effect.
