Using plane wrench on planes doesn't give you the plane back

Bug description
When trying to pick up the plane with the wrench, the plane just disappears. Happens in survival and creative. Happened on my survival world after spending all the time to get a plane up and running.. lol :(

Steps to reproduce
- Spawn any plane
- Hit plane with wrench
Expected behavior
Plane should drop on the ground (or at least go into inventory?) but it just disappears

In the video I showed it happening in survival as well but I had to trim the video to upload it to imgur. I promise it happens in survival as well though.
When you view the log, the final chunk of time is when the video was taken.
