I love the stones offered in this mod but the regoliths behave kind of weird and I'd rather just have vanilla dirt + grass. Could we have a config option to turn off the regolith world gen or blocks entirely?

You can change the stone type files, remove the dirt replacement option for every stone type. Check out the wiki for more information.
