Grave not spawning if two players die in the same space

Version: graves-2.0.0-rc.4+1.18.1
When two players die at the same time on top of each other, such as when a creeper explodes on them or when one is mounting the other (with Origins mod), only one of the player's graves will spawn. This is often accompanied by this message in console, though not always:
[Server thread/INFO]: Skipping update from removed player 'class_3222['Stygiannite'/241, l='ServerLevel[world]', x=54.70, y=60.62, z=161.69, removed=KILLED]
