Placing a mulberry on a single mulberry plant makes it become 2, but keeps the growth stage, basically automatically growing the new one. Placing a mulberry should require the plant to be picked, this would still make it jump one stage, but would be less odd in comparison to placing a fully grown plant from a berry.

additionally, picking fully grown mulberries reverts them to stage 1 instead of stage 2
