[MC 1.16.1] No more ruined portals?

I started a new world after installing Valhelsia Structures. I loaded the seed data into chunkbase.com to look for a ruined portal location to show a friend some new Nether Update content. At the coordinates that ChunkBase predicted a ruined portal (and it has been very accurate for me with other structures), I found a cool old house with stuff in the attic, but no portal. Another was a broken fortress, but no ruined portal. All the predicted locations for ruined portals in the vanilla game seem to contain custom structures from Valhelsia Structures instead. Is this expected behavior? I really like the mod & think it adds a lot of flavor to the vanilla game, but the ruined portals are also something I use a lot & enjoy the look of. Is there any way to make both coexist? Is this at all similar to the Waystones issue? Using the same marker, maybe? Or is it just me? Anyone with a 1.16.1 seed that has both ruined portals & Valhelsia content?

Seems to be an Overworld only issue, also. Still getting ruined portals in The Nether. Though also right next to the new Obsidian Spikes.

Nevermind. Dropping into spectator mode for further examination showed in all cases, the portals had generated underground, directly underneath the Valhelsia content. Weird. But I'll take it.
