The shadowed field modUpdateNotification in GuiMainMenu seems to be missing when OptiFine is installed.
Mods used:

  • configanytime-1.0
  • mixinbooter-8.3

Oh, that is an OptiFine issue, it is fixed in 0.2-Dev to download the dev build you must join my Discord server and head into #Dev Builds under the Valkyrie category, there you will find all dev builds.

Entirely fixed in Dev 8, dev builds are now released on CurseForge, and archived on Discord.
