The Thirst

The thirst is an idea I've flushed out with the help of some other people in this channel to make a MUCH more interactive system for a vampire's thirst.

How It Works

Essentially, once you hit level one as a vampire, the thirst begins. When your thirst bar is less than full and you look at an entity, your screen is surrounded by a red vignette (similar to the Vampire Rage ability's effect) for a moment. At level 4, it gets a little more... compulsive.

70% thirst: If you look at a villager, you start slowly walking towards them until you avert your vision.
50% thirst: Your blood vision may involuntarily turn on now and then.
30% thirst: The hissing ability activates at random.
10% thirst: your blood vision turns on and cannot be turned off until you are above 30%. If a villager is near you, you walk towards them and suck their blood until you are above 70% thirst or the villager dies.
0% thirst: Rather than taking simple hunger-like damage similar to humans, an AI takes over your player and drinks the nearest mob possible, regardless of whether it is a pet or a villager or a simple cow.

Sidenotes

  • With the Frugal Vampire ability, all thirst penalties are pushed down; 70% penalty moves to 30%, 50% penalty moves to 20%, 10% penalty moves to 5%.(edited)

PLEASE DO THIS

however I don feel like maybe with the AI thing it should not occur at all if you have frugal because one of the main things I like is feeling like I have a stronger will then the other vampires

Sounds cool, but also annoying to many

Maybe somehow as a config option, but is it actually worth the effort then?

Okay this is super cool. Definitely bump up how much exhaustion the blood bar needs to drop, because this might be annoying to some. But if thirst grows slowly enough it would be just the cherry on top of the cake.

I would move the start (70%) a little back to like 50% and the next level to 40%.
