Please backport to 1.18.2. There are also some other "dynamic" vertical slab mods, but they all are very buggy, as they don't register the blocks dynamically, but either use block entities. I really like the way you do this in vertical_slab_compat and also in every_compat, but sadly only every_compat is available on 1.18.2.
