Bug Description
This is regarding the HolographicDisplay mod
When you restart your server and users that use the Minecraft version 1.7 disconnect in the render distance of one of the Holograms their game will crash when they log back online right after the restart. This issue happens because users that use 1.7 will see zombies spawn at the Holograms location.
I've spoken to a developer I know and he believes it has something to do with ViaVersions/ViaRewind.
Steps to Reproduce
- Make sure you log out in the render distance of one of the Holograms that is placed on your server.
- Restart your server.
- Use Minecraft version 1.7.10 to log back into the server (I'm pretty sure any version of 1.7 will have the same issue).
- Log back-online after the restart.
- If you logged out near the Holograms you should see lots of zombies spawn on the Holograms location and this will cause your game to crash.
Expected Behavior
When users on Minecraft version 1.7 join the server after a restart near the Holograms they should not have the crashing issue.
Additional Server Info
HolographicDisplays (No BungeeCord) with a 1.8.9 Spigot (RocketSpigot)
I already tried using another 1.8 Spigot but the results are the same.
NOTE: The dump from ViaVersions was made on an older version of the plugin but I've tested also tested the issue on the most recent version of the plugin but this still causes the issue!
Checklist
- Via plugins are only running on EITHER the backend servers (e.g. Paper) OR the proxy (e.g. BungeeCord), not on both.
- I have included a ViaVersion dump.
- If applicable, I have included a paste (not a screenshot) of the error.
- I have tried the latest build(s) from https://ci.viaversion.com/ and the issue still persists.
Please try the latest build(s) from https://ci.viaversion.com/. In case the issue still persists send the new dump
