Bug Description

When attempting to use any command that is chat-related, the player gets kicked from the server.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Make a clean Paper 1.20.1 server,
2. Install all four ViaVersion-related plugins to the server,
3. Join with vanilla 1.8.9 client,
4. Run the /version command,
5. You should get kicked at this point.

Expected Behavior

Running chat-related commands will not kick the player out.

Additional Server Info

1. This server did not use any proxies,
2. This server used Paper 1.20.1-196,
3. ViaVersion+ViaBackwards 5.3.1, ViaRewind 4.0.7 and ViaRewind-Legacy-Support 1.5.2.
