On servers items moved from slots get dropped

If I open a chest and put an item into my offhand, it will render in my offhand and drop on the floor. The items in the offhand aren't really there.
This is on a Vanilla server, so I understand if it doesn't work in multiplayer.
I have the same issue as well on purely Vanilla servers. Even trying to click items when I'm using an anvil or enchantment table into my inventory drops it. Love the mod and if there's anything I can help troubleshoot I'd love too
