While I agree that this is a low priority . . . I also have to wonder why we even have this option? Supporting over world generation issues would take away from developing the best void world generator I've seen so far.

I'm all for more options that add to the mods versatility but perhaps this one is just option spam right now?

it works best with the single biome config. so say you want a whole ocean world, which will be flat.
i just wanted to provide the most configuration as possible for creativity :)

I haven't experienced these issues, but I'm going to make the case for keeping overworld gen.

I use this mod for creating a cool game mode I've not been able to create any other way.

Each player that joins the server spawns in a unique location, if they die they respawn at their own place. Obviously they can create a bed and respawn there but if that bed is lost they go back to re-spawning at their own location (the "island" is a block hidden underground ..).

Each player then has to build out to meet each other building roads (with car mod) or high speed mine cart lines (it's heavily modded but flying and teleporting has been removed)

You make a good point Jaz000, and most of these generation problems seem like they could be avoided by raising the "island" up higher. An ice island underground on the plains shouldn't ever happen unless the spawn level is below 70 or so.

Your world sounds intriguing.
