[1.12.2] XP does not show after dimensional travel

When traveling to other dimensions (using waystones, warp scrolls, warp stones, or return scrolls), the XP bar stops showing the XP you have.
The XP still exists, but it is not visible in the XP bar. If you gain additional XP, the XP in the bar reappears with no loss of XP.
This behavior happens when B:"Global Waystones Cost XP" is set to false
(No other config options were changed)
This behavior only occurs during dimensional travel.
This behavior appears in Single Player and Multi-Player.

Minecraft 1.12.2
Forge 1.12.2-14.23.5.2847-universal
Waystones 1.12.2-4.1.0
It appears there is another config option that is also causing this behavior. Will update when I know more.
