Just an Idea I had for making them fit into builds better. shift right clicking a waystone with a block will change its texture to match (great for modded stone types). Additionally shift right clicking with a dye would change the color of the lit up parts of the texture and particles emitted. Would be better than adding individual variants like everyone keeps asking for. Perhaps a config for what textures + colors a waystone should use if it is generated in a certain biome.

I back up this proposal, but I would restrict textures to blocks that have stone or cobblestone tags.

The issue with limiting it to stone is that it limits some things even further. having stripped log "carved" waystones or other materials would ensure that there always is an option for every build, regardless of material types used. Limiting it to just stone tagged items is such a waste of potential. Players who built with a block palette that doesn't work well with the waystone options they have would be in a pinch otherwise, callmejay758 made this argument in his response. Even if more options were added, it would still prove a problem for some builders.

I was looking for this. 100% need this to fit in my builds. Always find myself making a separate location with the matching stone type just to fit one of the 3 textures. Would be so helpful to be able to change the textures.
